Gerry went to Como Park Grade School as a child then graduated from Murray High School in St. Paul. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Minnesota in Psychology. Her first position after graduation was at Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing (3M) working as a Personnel Research Assistant, and she spent many years in the human resources field working for several other companies in the Twin City area. In the summer of 2014, at the golden age of 84, Gerry finally decided to retire. She was the oldest working hostess at Ruth’s Chris in Minneapolis and she was very proud of this position. Gerry loved to travel and has been to many sites in the United States and Europe, though her favorite trip was to Egypt to see the pyramids. Donations in honor of Gerry may be made to the ALS foundation in the fight against ALS in lieu of flowers. http://www.alsfoundation.org/give/
